The IB Diploma is a rigorous and challenging 2 years. It has given me the chance to take on several essays, studies and research papers. These two below are are my most recent and they reflect my love for the Arts and English literature.
Below are a few screenshots explaining my thought process and the subject I wrote about.

This project above shows a  screen shots from my Comparitive Study in my Visual Arts HL class. The aim was to select 3 artworks to examine and analyse their formal qualities and contexts. Then we had to compare all 3 together highlighting their similarities and differences. All together the analysis took up three slides per artist, the comparison had three slides exploring formal elements, implication of narrative and audience perception/involvement.
Above are a few images to provide some context for one of the biggest independently researched essays I have completed. The essay is yet to be graded as I have not finished my diploma course as of yet. The Extended Essay is an obligatory part of the IB Diploma, it requires a maximum of 4000 words on a subject that is chosen and researched by the student with the help of a supervisor. I chose English Literature as I wanted to explore the messages behind these two texts above, “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”, a famous poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge and “The Rime of the Modern Mariner”, a graphic novel adaptation by Nick Hayes. The essay process gave me so many skills that I can apply towards University work. These skills include independent primary and secondary research, referencing and citations and reflecting on my process and progress.
In this essay I found that I most enjoyed analysing the poem and the visual techniques of the texts. Writing about Nick Hayes’s use of the graphic novel format and his woodcut illustrations inspired me a lot to focus on illustration and advocating for our environment against pollution and human ignorance
